After my stim test I had emailed my new RE to let him know the test was done. I asked him if the test was normal, would that be a problem for me cycling with my own eggs in his office. He responded saying there wasn't anything that they could do....which set me into panic mode. I tried not to let it get to me but all I could think about was that we didn't have the money to do a donor cycle or adopt and how long of a kink that would put in our plans.
Anywho....Wednesday night this week my Endo. calls and leaves me a voicemail that the test in fact was normal. I was so very very upset. Thoughts flooded my mind of "now whats". When I got home, I sent an email to my RE to let him know the test was normal and to try and convince him that I should be allowed to cycle at least once more. Well, apparently I misunderstood his email because the response I got on Thursday afternoon said my protocol was set and I just needed to call the nurses to set it up. SO OF COURSE I CALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spoke to the nurse, she was really nice!!!, and she said I can start as early as their June 6th cycle! OMG!!! That is too soon though, since I need to take Provera to get my period so I'm likely to be joining in on their next one which will start either June 16th or 23rd. Here is what things look like...
June 4th- Go in for FSH/LH/E2 levels as well as a recheck of Vitamin D
That night I'll start Provera....after AF shows, I'll go on BCP until I'm ready to start cycle
June 16th/23rd- Cycle with Follistim and low dose HCG
Somewhere in the cycle-- Introduce Ganirelix
Trigger with HCG
5Day transfer of 2 embroys w/ ICSI
Freeze whatever is left (hopefully something this time!)
Basically I'm on Lovenox, so there isn't a concern of clots with BCP. My new RE says the Ganirelix was given to me incorrectly last year which is why my cycle reversed. He will closely monitor me but this is the best drug to suppress ovulation when give correctly.
So, with a new protocol and a new lab we will see what happens!!
I'm going to spend the next month trying to lose as much weight as possible and enjoy my "free time" with Jim. I've done the math and regardless of start dates, ER and ET won't interfere with my BIL's wedding in July. Plus, if it should work (although its hard to even think that it will at this point....but trying to stay optimistic), I'd be about 25weeks for our cruise. That's perfect! Not too new so I'm sick, not too big that I can't get on the plane, and just right to give me an excuse to not snorkel :)
Side note....my little pail planters are half growing. My planters that were named July and September are sprouting super fast!!! My other two are duds, LOL
This blog is about struggle and things people don't talk about... infertility, the loss of a child, and pregnancy after loss

And now we....you guessed it.....WAIT!!!
Stim test was today....
Don't I look purdy??? LOL I guess sitting in the same position for 4 hours and having 12 vials of blood taken doesn't really make you look like a supermodel, LOL
Anywho, we got there at 8:15am and they took us right away. The P.A. ran the test and as expected, she couldn't get the IV in so I got stuck a few times before she called in the nurse. Nurse of course got it on the first try!! Thankfully the IV port lasted the whole time and the P.A. was able to get all my blood draws from there so I didn't have to get stuck again.
Basically they started out pushing saline. Then they pushed a quick dose of growth hormone stimulating drugs. Then they pushed Arganine for 1/2 hour. I thought I was done, but the Arganine just started flowing. I was thinking to myself, "This isn't so bad!!" and then WAAAABAM....hot flashes. My neck started itching, I was sweating, felt a little dizzy too. I asked the P.A. if the Arganine was done, and that is when I looked and saw the bag still dripping, LOL so I said, "Guess what? The side effects are kicking in" Haha. Oh well, a few minutes and they went away but they were a long few minutes.
Other than that it wasnt bad, I did feel lightheaded but that could be because I hadnt' eaten anything since 9pm the night before. Speaking of the night before....Jim and I went to a Cubs game. Needless to say, I'm pretty exhausted right now.
The P.A. said I won't get the results for about 2-3 weeks so its going to be a long couple weeks waiting to find out. That makes me nervous that it takes so long. Now I'm looking at getting results mid -June. If they're positive for the deficiency, is there going to be time to deal with insurance, order meds, and then take them 3-4 months before our cruise?? The possibility of waiting until December/January to cycle again is becoming quite real and its not setting well with me!!! UGH!!!
Anywho, after my test we went across the street to our favorite downtown pub called Elephant and Castle. I was famished so I had a nice filling lunch before we headed home:)
Right now, we're home and Jim is moving our furniture around because we're getting new flooring tomorrow in our Piano Room and Kitchen. YAY!! I think I'm going to take a nap!!

Countdown to Stim Test
My next post will probably be after the test and have more info about how it went....7 days!!
On to the blogging...
I've been trying to become more crafty and homemaker-y these days. I've nixed the idea of planting a garden for fear of tiring of it quickly and having it all die. Although my neighbor said there is a neighborhood gardening pact and everyone is assigned a few things to plant and everyone shares....so maybe I can handle just one or two things. Maybe next year :) For now, I'm starting simple and symbolic. I bought four colored pail mini planters one for each failed IVF cycle. I planted two different types of flowers and put them out in the sun on my patio.
Jim was asking me about our next steps the other day. I think he's getting anxious to pick up and start again. Can't say that I blame him, I'm pretty anxious myself. I'm not really anxious about the process but moreso about that glimmer of hope that maybe THIS time will be OUR time. Too bad I couldn't skip all the parts between now and then :)
I'm accomplishing what I set out to do in January though. I'm enjoying my break and losing some weight. It may sound silly but I think I'm really finding myself, the self that I really want to be through all this. I'm eating right, losing weight, working a stable job, fixing up the house, and I'm building a network in my neighborhood. I'm loving my life as it is right now and I think that is important, if you can't appreciate what you have at the moment how can you appreciate anythign else that comes your way.
On that note, I'm going to appreciate being a bridesmaid this weekend for my dear friend Suzanne's wedding. :) YAY!!! I'm so happy for her and I'm so excited to be a part of her special day!!! We're going to party harty!!!
