CCRM Consult....finally!!

I rescheduled a few times...then they rescheduled a few times....yesterday, I finally got Dr. Surrey on the phone.

Don't get me wrong, he was super nice and seemed very knowledgeable. I guess I just thought I'd hear a choir of angels sounding after I hung up with anyone at CCRM, LOL ...kidding of course,

He agrees with my current RE that quality is my issue, which others have agreed also. He thinks its a good idea to cycle in another location to see if my embryos just don't want to grow in the current RE's lab. If we cycle at CCRM, or just anywhere else, and our embryos still refuse to grow then obviously its all an issue with me and my eggs. Basically, he recommended karyotyping, a sperm frag test, and CCS with our embryos (provided we'd get embryos to grow to blast....thats a big if).

Having him say that I should cycle in another place to see if the lab is partially to blame....that makes me feel better about cycling elsewhere. I'm comfortable with my choice to give a local RE a try and see what he can do. If next year this time I'm still sitting here banging my head against the wall then I guess it'll be a choice of DE or going to CCRM.

At least I talked to them and feel better now that my 2nd opinion project is complete :)

In other news...the new job is going well! I'm in my third week so far and today I'm working from home due to some pending snow. I'm psyched that I don't have to trudge out in a blizzard if one should happen to fall!!

This weekend is our monthly Resolve meeting. After that, Jim and I are spending the night downtown thanks to a free night stay at the Blackstone from my parents for Xmas. We're also going to dinner at the Russian Tea Room thanks to my parents Xmas gift!! I'm so excited!! We need a night away together but really can't afford one right now so that was the perfect gift!!  :)
