My week started off with a meeting on Monday after work in Volo. Never heard of Volo? Its ok, me either until Monday when I Googled directions, lol. From my office to the meeting , and the meeting back to my house was 111 miles traveled. On top of that, the election portion usually goes first so I can tell the manager if there is a quorum or not and hit the road. Not this one. The manager ran the meeting first so I sat there for a full hour waiting to tell him there was no quorum and no election could be held. Needless to say I didn't get home until 9:15pm that night making for a 14 hour day for me. For the woman who is pregnant and can barely even stay awake for her normal working hours, let me tell you that was not a fun drive home. I came home, skipped dinner, and went to bed.
Tuesday was Jim's birthday. After work, I came home and got dressed and we met up with his family at the usual restaurant we always go to for birthdays. They're German so its fitting we go to a German restaurant. I'm not really big on schnitzels but its a fun atmosphere restaurant plus I LOVE the goulash soup they have. Maybe next time I'll just get a big bowl of soup and skip the schnitzel :) Here we are at dinner!
Wednesday actually was a normal day, hurray!!! The Thursday was our fun day of the week when Jim and I went to the Fleetwood Mac concert as a belated birthday present to me....funny since it was only days after Jim's birthday., lol. We were probably the youngest people at that concert but that was fine by me. I just love FWM so much I was so happy we got to see them live in concert. I mean, lets face it...they're in their 60s and 70s and my parents saw them in concert before I was born so you know they dont have many years of touring left in them! I'm a musical person and feel like I have a great appreciation for lots of different types when the artist is especially talented. I do love a lot of songs on the radio these days but I really feel like music was at its best before I was born and I sometimes feel like I should have been born decades prior to be witness to some other musical artists that have long since been gone. At any rate, I take what I can get :) Here are some pics and a video of "Dreams" I snapped. I was a little disappointed that Stevie Nicks wasn't hitting the higher notes. Maybe she cant anymore :(
Yet again, needless to say Friday was a long day at work after being at the concert the night before. Worth it!!
This weekend so far has been great too! First, my parents are in town for their high school reunion and 35th anniversary which is today. They dropped their dog Lillie off with us last night while they were out. Her and Ches are like little sisters, its soooo cute !!
After Lillie was dropped off, I went out for dinner for a friends birthday at a hibachi restaurant. OMG it was sooooo good but I was so full they give you so much food!!! And its all so delicious you just want to eat it all but it wasnt happening so I've got a nice lunch waiting for me today. Best of all, my friends from Ohio came to town as a surprise with their new baby Katelynn. Ive been seeing pictures of her for 4 months I was so happy to finally meet her. She is so cute!!!
Today marks 14 weeks and 2nd trimester starts today. I have to admit...I'm freaking out a little bit about it. I cant believe its here already and my milestone is 5 weeks away. I'm wondering if its possible for PTSD to have a late onset because more and more these days as I'm getting closer to 19 weeks all I can think about is being in the hospital with Jack. Someone on my Facebook group was in labor and posted a picture of the pitocin in the IV bag and I cant even describe the feeling that came over me seeing the IV bags, it felt like I was back in the bed myself tied to that IV again. I just hope this time is different I really don't have the strength in me to go through that again. People at work have been commenting, pretty much the last week, about my bump popping. Its hard to explain but it makes me really uncomfortable that people are pointing it out. I've got issues that's all I can say.... I guess I have to get used to the comments because the bump isn't going anywhere anytime soon at least so I'm sure there will be more to come.
Anywho, tonight we're going out for dinner with my parents. I'm happy I get to see them since they live in TN now , visits are far and few between.

Little baby's life has been pretty busy, huh? Sounds like you had a lot of fun. You still look great! Love the little doggy visit. My parents drop off their dog sometimes and its fun seeing them interact. I'm pretty hungry after reading this post so I'm going to go eat and get fat now, LOL.
