ER Day...hurray!!!

On Monday morning, I trekked out to Naperville again at 6am in hopes that I would get the call that day to trigger. Thankfully my wish came true.....although I don't see how they could have kept me going much more. My e2 on Monday morning was 5728 and I had lots of follicles!! So that afternoon I got my call with detailed instructions. Good thing I know how this goes because its a complicated process!!!

Monday night at exactly 8pm I drew up my trigger and dialed up my Follistim to go along with it.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I felt pretty bloated. I had to dig in my closet for comfy pants that would fit me!!!  It was a quick work day and quick night and pretty soon before I knew it, it was this morning time for ER!!! Since this was a new clinic I was a little nervous. Not so much about the procedure but ....ok about the procedure....but also getting the IV in and what kind of snacks I'd get afterwards, ETC, ETC. Turns out the anesthesiologist was awesome and got me on the first stick and on a vein that wasn't a "Retrieval Vein", LOL  I was happy about that and we were good to go!!!

They wheeled me down the hall into the procedure room, had me scoot over to the procedure table, and get into the stirups. Those were some good drugs because that's all I remember until I woke up in my recovery room. The nurse came in a few times to check on me then brought Jim in to sit with me. I got a cute little can of 7up and some saltines. Those were the best saltines ever, LOL Then the RE came in to give me a mini report on the procedure. He said they got 45 eggs......I'm sorry I think I just hallucinated......what???   Yes that's right....45 eggs!!! UN.FREAKIN.BELIEVABLE!!! At any rate, I'm chugging the Gatorade for sure like its going out of style. Jim bought me the "big gulps", haha.

So now we wait. Tomorrow I wont get a phone call, the update will just be listed on my flowsheet on my portal. I kinda like that because I can be more subtle about obsessively checking the internet rather than my phone at work....yes that's right I have to go to work tomorrow. Booooo :(
