Well, after agonizing over waiting for the phone call all morning....the IVF nurse finally called me with the report.
She didn't tell me how many out of the 11 were mature, but only that 5 fertilized properly. At first I was upset because that is one less fertilized egg than we had last cycle. However, thinking about it ...last cycle we had 19 eggs retrieved as opposed to 11 now. For there to be nearly the same amount fertilized that is pretty good! Did some math and 1st cycle had a 31% fertilization rate whereas this cycle is a 45%!! Pretty good!!
Transfer is Monday at 11am, I have to be there at 10:45am though. Eeek, I'm excited!!
One more crazy "2" theme and then I'll leave the blog alone for awhile...since my retrieval was later than I had originally thought I did a recalculation of my potential due date. It would be August 2nd...which is ...you guessed it...2 days before my birthday. If this cycle doesn't result in a baby, maybe even twins, I'm just going to be creeped out, LOL
