Ok folks, were getting down to the nitty gritty here. Jim and I went to Church this morning and it took all I had not to cry during mass. Uggg, stupid Prometrium makes me so weepy!!! ...and nauseous....and bloated....ooooh I hate Prometrium.
We had to go to Jim's parents house tonight for his Dad's birthday. Thankfully...knock on wood...after I popped that Tylenol last night at 7:30pm I haven't had a reoccurrence of cramps or headaches so I'm hoping that's a good thing.
We took some of my MIL's famous ecclair cake home with us. When we got home, literally like 20min after we just walked in the door, I was like "I want to eat my cake...can I eat your slice too?" Jim hesitantly caved and let me eat both slices. Yum, they were good. When walking upstairs to get a spoon, I felt weird. I can't explain it, just weird. Jim said, "Maybe you feel pregnant?!" I said, "I dont know what this is but I'm gonna eat this cake!!!"
I'm wondering if the difference between Endometrin and Prometrium will have anything to do with my AF showing up. My first IUI, she came through the suppositories and arrived exactly 14dpo. The 2nd IUI I had to stop taking them in order for AF to show up. Both IUI cycles were on Prometrium.
My first IVF cycle they had me on Endometrin and AF arrived early!!!! She came through the suppositories at 12dpo, which was a day before my beta. Major bummer, let me tell you. However, since Endometrin isn't covered by my insurance, we bought a few suppositories and got some from a friend that donated. For my 2nd IVF, I asked that they put me back on Prometrium so thats is what I'm on now.
I was mulling over the possible difference between the two when I realized that there are dosage amount differences. Endometrin is 100mg, whereas Prometrium is 200mg...both are/were inserted 3 times a day. Basically, I'm getting 300 extra mg of progesterone this cycle. With my IUIs they were only inserted twice a day so now I'm questioning if I'll even get AF if this cycle is a bust. Way to mind fluck with me. However, since I put 2 embies in, even if I do get AF, a part of me will be thinking its due to one embie sticking and one not.
Oh lordy, this is going to be a long couple of days. Jim and I are going out Wednesday with some friends and I'm oh so ever hopeful that I'm not able to partake in the drink fest with them. I'll be content with a Sprite or water.
