Transfer Day!!!



I was so nervous about going into the ET today. The nurse told me that no news is good news so that helped when I didn't get any updates at all since my fert report......I was still nervous since we've only had one out of 49 previous eggs make it to a blast stage and it was a poor quality blast at that.

Well....that's all changed!!

We transferred two "perfect" expanded blasts today and the other 24 left I'm told have lots that are early blasts and its looking like they'll have some to freeze. Yet another thing I've yet to encounter....frosties!!!

OMG.....this might be it, I hope so!!!

The process itself was very interesting and so much different than previous transfers. They treated it the same as the retrieval with a medical bracelet, full gown and funny hat on the head. They took my vitals and wheeled me back to the same room they did the retrieval in. Only difference is the day of retrieval they had peppy music on but today they had calming spa music :)

The process itself was super fast, my previous ETs seemed to last forever but this went really fast!! Next thing I know, they're wheeling me back to my "recovery "room to lay there (aka take a nap) for 30min. Well....how could I not take a nap I'm all nice and warm dim lights and I'm exhausted anyways LOL

I got the pretty picture from my RE, he shook my hand and wished me luck. I'm so freakin' excited. I can see my child if that makes sense. I've always pictured what they'd look like but I can actually "see" them.....sitting in a car seat in the back seat.....singing along to country songs with me...being rocked to sleep in the room that's going to finally be full after over a year being empty.....and so on and so on.

Anywho...since everything has been so different Jim and I decided we should personify these two rock star blasts that are hanging out right now. Maybe if we made them feel how much we want them here they'd be more likely to comply. So we named them and we each got to name one. I'd like to introduce you to ...
